Seating
84 seats per performance – If you wish to add the stairs to the seating rostra in this will increase the number of seats. The seating capacity in this scenario will be 91 so remember to calculate this in your budgets.
A booking and ticketing system
With dedicated booking phone line. BATS also accepts bookings via email and online. Each co-op is expected to provide one person per performance to take tickets and usher the audience into the theatre.
Office Facilities
BATS practitioners are welcome to come use any free computer in the BATS office, and we also have photocopying facilities that are cheaper than most! We can do colour and black and white in A4 and A3 sizes.
Marketing tools
GUANO
Guano (the word means – bat or bird shit) is our quarterly magazine listing upcoming shows and BATS news. We produce 4,000 of these for distribution to people on our database, Wellington educational institutions & schools, cafes, libraries, shops and other venues.
THE BATS WEBSITE (www.bats.co.nz)
The BATS website has booking details, a history of the theatre and includes information, photos and images of all current and upcoming shows (for at least the next 3 months.) The website links directly to our email for bookings and information requests, and also provides an online booking form.
BATSMAIL
BATS sends out a weekly email to over 2000 people each Monday, letting them know the inside word on what is happening at BATS each week.
LISTINGS
BATS sends weekly listings to various publications and websites.
SOCIAL MEDIA
BATS likes to be social on the internet, and we are active on Facebook and Twitter (BATS_Theatre).
The BATS Staff
Every staff member at BATS is here to help you succeed, and learn as much as you can to develop your craft. Book in for a chat with any of the staff, or just pop by the office. We encourage you to use us as mentors!
