The New Zealand Fringe Festival in Wellington is the biggest fringe in the country, and hands down BATS busiest time of year.
“The BATS Fringe Fest” kicked off the whole amazing tradition in the early 90s and today, with a line-up of almost 30 Fringe seasons every year, BATS is still fondly referred to as ‘The Heart of the Fringe.’
During Fringe Festival time BATS programmes for variety; we try to showcase as many different sorts of events as possible, including artists bringing their work to Wellington from out of town. This means you’re guaranteed to see an amazing cross-range of events, and usually some of the must-sees of the festival.
BATS shows have a pretty good track record of scooping up a bunch of gongs at the annual Fringe Awards, so chances are you’ll experience something pretty memorable!
