Calling all performers, writers, comedians, musicians, dancers, drag artists, theatre-makers and glorious misfits!
BATS is throwing three nights of festive mayhem to celebrate the end of 2026, and WE WANT YOU! π«΅
Got five minutes of brilliance? A sketch, a song, a monologue, stand-up, cabaret, drag, musical theatre or something wonderfully weird?
Funny. Heartfelt. Punky. Camp. A little bit naughty. BRING IT.
THE BRIEF
We're putting together a festive variety revue, and we're keeping things simple, sweet and spectacular.
β± Around five minutes per act.
π€ Minimal sets, props and lighting. Basic tech only, please!
π One night? Fabulous. All three? Even better!
π Writers, we want you too! Got a short scene, sketch or monologue? Pitch it.
π This is a voluntary fundraiser. Unfortunately, we can't pay performers or creatives, and we completely understand if that means you can't participate.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
Let's not sugarcoat the festive pudding. 2026 has been a bloody tough year for creative industries and for BATS. Keeping an independent theatre alive takes more than creativity, passion and a roll of gaffer tape.
It takes a community. And right now, we need ours.
This fundraiser is an important part of helping us keep the doors open, the lights on and the stage ready for the next generation of storytellers. For decades, BATS has been home to bold ideas, rebellious spirits, new voices and wonderfully unconventional theatre.
Let's keep it that way.

Fill in THIS FORM by Monday 26 October (Labour Day) with:
- Your name and contact details.
- A short description of your act or idea.
- Who's involved.
- Any basic technical requirements.
- Your availability across 10, 11 and 12 December.
We'll review submissions and curate three nights of glorious festive fabulousness.
