Meet Tania Marie Tapiki Smith, our new General Manager
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Tania Marie Tapiki Smith as our new General Manager.
As Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāi Whakatōhea, and Upokorehe Iwi, storytelling and the performing arts are in her DNA, and she can’t wait to bring her passion and energy to this dynamic space.
Tania is a well-known face around Wellington in the events, business and hospitality spaces. Currently Licensee and Head of Curation for TEDxWellington, former co-founder of The Brokerage Investments, and a former dancer with years in Wellington’s events scene, She is passionate about creating experiences that inspire, connect, and push creative boundaries.

With her wealth of experience and deep connection to the arts, Tania is ready to lead BATS into an exciting new chapter.
