Helen Vivienne Fletcher

Helen Vivienne Fletcher, She/Her, is a queer, disabled, writer, performer and theatre-maker from Wellington. She has a background in stage management and producing, and holds qualifications in Creative Writing and Performing Arts.
Her plays have won and been shortlisted for numerous awards, including winning the Outstanding New Playwright Award at the Wellington Theatre Awards, the Playmarket Plays for the Young Award, and being shortlisted for the Adam New NZ Play Award.
Most recently, Helen has performed in plays such as Lessons Learnt from Hannibal Lecter, Five Slices of Another Life, and Three Feet Under.
When not writing, Helen teaches creative writing lessons, and her alter ego, Fairy Helen, runs storytimes for children. She lives in Wellington with her retired assistance dog, Bindi.
