Joshua Leota (Ha’apai, Tonga & Saleimoa, Samoa) is an actor, filmmaker, and mover. Joshua’s passion for the performing arts stems from his Tongan Drama Queen Mother and his Samoan Father introducing him to classic films, ‘Fist of Fury’ and ‘La Bamba’. As well as his formative years growing up in Waiharakeke, Marlborough. Joshua aspires to use the arts as a vehicle to mentor young people from his community. Joshua’s theatre credits include award-winning seasons of Dawn Raids and Mic Drop, as well as performances in ‘Riding Waves, Growing Roots’ and ‘On God’.
