Marshall Lorenzo

Marshall Lorenzo (Ngāti Maniapoto) is a graduate of the AUT Master of Screenwriting programme. An award-winning comedy writer (2019 Canadian Comedy Awards), he wrote the inaugural season of Canada’s Drag Race, and was the head writer of the multi-Canadian Comedy Award-winning troupe The Sketchersons. He’s performed comedy across North America and was featured in ‘Best of the Fest’ at the Montreal Sketchfest and Just For Laughs new faces (2019). In 2024 he performed his five-time NZ Fringe-nominated show ‘Baby Gorgeous’ as part of the NZ Fringe and Summer at Q and in 2025 won the NZ Fringe Tour Award.
