This October’s spooky season BATS Theatre is raffling off the chance for fans to take on the role of theatre ghost for the year in a new fundraiser. Not only will winners get the privilege to “haunt” some of BATS Theatre’s spaces but winners will also experience an epic ghostly make-over with prosthetics, make-up and special effects by Wētā Workshop’s co-founder Richard Taylor.

The Stage is the home of risk taking performances created by both emerging and established artists. The Stage is iconic and has been the stage that launched some of Aotearoa’s coolest and most successful artists.

The Dome is a unique performance space with stunning heritage details (hello stained glass dome in the ceiling!). The Dome is a versatile, elegant, deco space and over 50 productions are presented every year featuring anything from Fringe to Disabled Pride Week to musicals and dance.

The Studio is home to our Artist Residencies, and it’s a fresh, raw, energetic space where developmental theatre begins. It’s tucked away at the top of the building and it’s the only BATS theatre with windows and natural light and an awesome view!
