Brought to you by theatre troupe Improverished, their D&D show returns after a sold-out seasons at the NZ International Comedy Festival, and Auckland Fringe Festival.

Whether you’ve played D&D since you were five, only know it from watching Stranger Things or just enjoy improv and laughter — come along!

Improverished have been improvising since 2015, and we have become known for our devotion to storytelling, joyfulness, and innovation. We have performed at the NZ International Comedy Festival, Auckland Fringe Festival, Auckland Improv Marathon, and Auckland Improv Festival. Our awards include being nominated for Best Use of Mayonnaise at the 2021 NZ Intl. Comedy Festival for a show about an evil Mayonnaise wizard taking over a small town with the help of his Mayonnaise Cat.

NZIF is back for 2023, with a week-long celebration of all things spontaneous, featuring shows, workshops and events all hosted right here at BATS. Come and be part of the magic!
