CORE

Gutsy, warm, and bittersweet, CORE is a funny little love story we can all see bits of ourselves in.
Asa and Erika are in their early twenties - two recent university graduates, a budding architect and a headstrong writer, sitting on the very edge of real adulthood. Set entirely in Asa's Wellington apartment, CORE captures the raw parts of a young relationship. Through dancing half naked, heated conversations about laundry and some very indelicate poetry, Asa and Erika’s little love is one so many of us can recognise in our own lives. We watch as they get under each other's skin, watch as they laugh, screw, and screw up, until the year comes to an end and they are faced with the next stretch of life. The question is, are they meant to face that next stretch together?
“Argue with me in the hallway late for the party. Argue with me in the car, in the kitchen, out on their front lawn - my wind vane taking me one way, your wind vane taking you the other.”
