Improv Tech Operator Training for Performers
Hosted by the NZ Improv Trust
Get to grips with running lights and sound for improvised theatre shows!
How do you operate lights for a show when there aren't any scripted cues? How do you improvise alongside the people on stage?
This session (Tuesday 4 June) is for improvisors looking to gain experience as lighting and sound operators, focusing on the basics of a tech desk.
Please Note - There will be a second session on Tuesday 16 July is for existing tech operators looking to up-skill in how to operate for improvised theatre, focusing on improvised tech operating. Head here to book the second session if this sounds more like you!
Workshops take place from 6–9pm in the Dome Theatre.
Places are free, but limited spots are available, so please book in advance.
Financial support to attend (eg. travel expenses) is available for low-income participants or those from marginalised/underrepresented backgrounds — please email [email protected] for details. These workshops were made possible by the generous support of the John Ilott Charitable Trust.
