Originally from a rural North Canterbury town where everyone knows everyone, Emma Rutherford packed up her life, her microphone and a truckload of unsolicited advice to chase the impossible dream of making it in the music industry.
Bringing original music, storytelling, comedy and brutal small town wisdom to the stage, Emma unpacks what it really means to pursue a creative career when everyone around you has a “real job”.
This is Emma’s final shot at making it in the industry before she gives in, heads to teachers college, and becomes “sensible.”
