The Big HOO-HAA! Pōneke
Presented by Locomotive
Start your weekend the HOO-HAA! way with a night of hilarious, competitive improv. The Hearts stand valiant in one corner. The Bones hunger for glory in the other. You, the audience, decide the champion. But hey, the points are made up and everyone’s having a great time!
“A rambunctious, rollicking good time starring some of the city’s finest improv talent.”
CREATIVE TEAM
Directed by Jen O'Sullivan
Jennifer O'Sullivan is an improvisor, director and creative producer in Te-Whanganui-a-Tara. When she's not working on cool improv and theatre projects, she's hanging out with her pets and her kid and making sure no one eats too much grass.
Produced by Elliott Lam
The resident producer of The Big HOO HAA Pōneke, Elliott's biggest obstacle in improv is getting people to spell his name right. A man with a fractured national identity, he is able to adopt any persona at any given moment, and even he's not sure which one's the real one anymore. Off-stage, Elliott loves cooking, although he did do it on-stage once and it was a nightmare.
