Too Much?

PRESENTED BY Tessa Waters
This new show in development

The multi-award winning "Queen of Physical Comedy" Tessa Waters has become allergic to performing. Unfortunately, it's the one thing she loves most in all the world. Shirley Bassey meets Mr Bean meets Beckett. A big camp sparkly physical comedy show exploring when life becomes Too Much?

This is show in development is co-created with Nick Zwart, Victoria Falconer, Hannah Smith and Jarrad Payne.

Tessa Waters is a clown, theatre maker, creative producer and creator with 15+ years’ experience in creating, performing and producing multi-award winning comedy and cabaret across a variety of platforms.

She is passionate about making hilarious work with meaning and connection. That speaks from the deepest part of her and is shared with an audience through love, joy and authenticity. IN search of realness and connection.

She established the Wellington Feminist Clown Posse (NZ) in 2021 with Anya Tate-Manning to create a training method that deconstructs the patriarchy within European /Western clown training.

Her previous work includes; WOMANz, which broke records at the 2014 Melbourne Fringe being the first show ever to WIN three awards in one night and was touted as one of the TOP 5 Hottest New Things in Comedy by the Sydney Morning Herald for her MICF 2015 season. OVER PROMISES (2016), which was NOMINATED for Best International Show at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival 2017. FULLY SIK (2017) which WON the Best Comedy Weekly Award at Adelaide Fringe 2017 and was filmed as an hour special for ABC TV’s Comedy Next Gen Series 2. And most recently VOLCANO which was Nominated for Best Comedy in Perth 2019.

This is the first new show for Tessa Waters in nearly 5 years.

A real force of nature...her bold physical performance sweeps you up...you are sure to leave on an elated high
