Don't Look Now
Written by Angie Farrow, Directed by David O’Donnell. Presented by Theatre for Climate
Following a successful and critically acclaimed season last year, Don't Look Now is a collection of short plays about a changing climate. Focusing on empowering community, they ask: how can we make an impactful difference to the climate crisis?
Performed in different styles, including absurdist and naturalistic drama, the plays follow multiple perspectives you’d be able to see within our own community: from a man facing the impending doom of rising waters in a small Pacific nation, a nurse arrested for attending a demonstration, to an elderly woman protesting the felling of a majestic native tree.
When the dynamics of families and communities struggle with the mixed messages from the media and from those in power, we see the potential of theatre to start discussions, to open up new possibilities, to imagine solutions and a better future together.
As part of the Don’t Look Now season, join us for two FREE mid-season events, including:
Don’t Look Now: Book Launch on Wednesday 17th June at 5:15pm and a post-show Open Forum on Thursday 18th June where the Theatre for Climate Team will host an open panel discussion about the climate crisis, featuring a panel of environmental experts and national political figures.
