Aimee Dredge

Aimee Dredge is a young emerging New Zealand actor, writer, producer, and director. Born and raised in Palmerston North, she is currently living in Wellington. She holds a Diploma in Drama, and her Bachelor of Creativity after study at Te Auaha. This is where she found her passion for creating and making her own shows, devising a number of works throughout her time of study. In 2021 she co-founded The Awkward Company with fellow classmates, but has now branched off to continue her own theatre work under AADredge. She has performed, produced, and written three plays for the NZ Fringe festival with the company, whilst producing and crewing another. Aimee has also created her own 20 minute comedy action film and heartfelt solo theatre performance, ‘The Last Farewell’. She is inspired by history and discovering new perspectives on well-known events. She aims to continue making and creating original theatre works.
