Zody Takurua
Zody Mārino Takurua (Nga Rauru) is an emerging figure on the Aotearoa Arts scene, and 2025 Graduate of the Te Kura Toi Whakaari ō Aotearoa (NZ Drama School) acting class. Zody has performed in productions including Katie Wolfe's 'The Haka Party Incident', Cole Meyers' 'RURANGI' and Helen Pearse-Otene's 'The Undertow' quartet. Zody is passionate about engaging Queer and Māori audiences with their work and in 2025 their script 'WHŌRE' was selected for development supported by Te Pou theatre's KŌANGA Festival (AKL, NZ). Zody has also been fortunate enough to support the development of new Takatāpui theatre in Naarm (VIC, AUS) under the Aphids Residency supported by La Mama Theatre.
Zody continues to develop new work through MOTU RĀ Productions
